When we started Digital Leadership Associates (DLA) dlaignite.com Adam, Alex and I always told people that we were a transformation company. People had to know us for something and as we started transforming Sales first, people got to know us as a Social Selling company.
It was fine by us. It sounds boastful and it is that nobody knows more about social selling than us. While we “wrote the book” on social selling. “Social Selling – Techniques to Influence Buyers and Changemakers” a best seller is still available on Amazon.
We said that as soon as we had that program repeatable and having a predictable output, we would move onto the next module. It was in 2018 where we found that we had the right formula and every time we “crank the handle” on the Social Selling program we can predict the results.

It was at this January’s Board Meeting that I tasked Adam Gray with creating the Social Human Resources and Social Marketing modules.
We launch the Social Human Resources (HR) module at our global user conference in London in September. Social Marketing follows closely behind that.
At a meeting recently in Seattle at Microsoft HQ I was presenting (under NDA) details of our new Social Human Capital Management (HCM) module.
The first question was “I guess you are using social in Recruitment”.
My answer to this was “When we designed the Social Sales module we redesigned sales. This isn’t about taking old process and tacking social onto it.” This is no different from employing profile writers to write your Linkedin profile. Nothing changes in your behaviour.
The same with using social for recruitment. I’m sure that most companies tweet jobs out and probably get very little result from this.
Teaching people to do the same jobs they are doing already isn’t transformation.
