As we move into the summer session many of us will have time to think as we go on out holidays. One question which will be on many people’s lips will be, “how will I make my sales number this year?”.
The lucky few will have already made their number, while others will pray for the “blue bird” to arrive. For others, it’s time to call the recruitment consultants and see what jobs are out there.
To close business in November and December means you need leads and meetings now!
But as we’ve seen in so many organizations, marketing just isn’t happening. Instead, it always seems to be about “fluffy” things like brand. One marketer recently, when I asked her what she had been working on, proudly told me she had changed her logo. “Does the phone ring more?” was my response. Another marketing agency has become complacent with no additional leads and meetings generated.
Add to that, advertising, email marketing and cold calling have ever diminishing returns as people continue to block cold outreach.
So what about social selling?
I bet you’ve heard it takes ages and you don’t have time. Wrong.
